Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Kobalt Construction work?

We're based in Tobyhanna, PA and serve the Poconos, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre/Wyoming Valley, and the Lehigh Valley — commercial, residential, and public projects throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes. Kobalt Construction is licensed and bonded, and our crew is OSHA-certified. Licensing, insurance, and bonding documentation is available on request for bid packages or client review.

What kind of projects do you take on?

A wide range — commercial site work and ground-up builds (retail, warehouses), public infrastructure (parks, playgrounds, roadway paving, municipal buildings), and residential development. If it involves site work, concrete, paving, or masonry, it's work our own crews regularly perform.

Do you handle both concrete and paving, or do you subcontract that out?

We have our own paving crew and our own concrete and masonry crews, and they carry out much of the work shown on our project pages. On some jobs we also work alongside ready-mix suppliers and specialty trade partners, who are credited on each project page. See our concrete and paving pages for examples.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends heavily on scope — a parking lot repave might take days, while a ground-up commercial build or public park project can run months. We provide a realistic project-specific timeline as part of every quote.

Do you work with municipalities and school districts?

Yes — a significant share of our work is public-sector: township and county projects, school district paving, and municipal buildings. We're experienced with the documentation and compliance that public bids require.

How do I get a quote?

Are you hiring?

We're often looking for CDL drivers, laborers, cement finishers, and equipment operators. Check our Careers page for current openings.
